The Culinary Arts program gives Madison students the opportunity to learn and develop the skills needed to become a professional culinarian, including proper knife skills, various cooking techniques, menu planning, plate pricing, nutrition, proper sanitation, and much more. Professionalism and teamwork are essential in this
Program. 

The culinary program is a 2-year program that serves Junior and Senior high school students that desire to learn and work in the culinary field. Our learning environment is time split between the classroom and the lab kitchen. Classroom time is spent learning about different aspects of the Food Service and Lodging industries, including but not limited to food safety, cuisine, preparation, management, and nutrition.

The culinary class will be getting a fully functioning coffee bar called common grounds which will give the students the opportunity to run a real-life business and learn the skills that go with starting a business from the ground up.
