Automotive Technology

This is an ASE-certified program that develops student skills in the maintenance and repair of automobiles. This program helps develop the necessary skills for a student to be a successful auto mechanic. In auto tech, you learn a multitude of skills that are focused on but, are not limited to learning about the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of automobiles. Emphasis will be on the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, which will provide learning opportunities on skills such as changing brakes, steering repair, suspension repair, and basic engine repairs. Auto Technology students will learn all the necessary skills to become entry-level auto mechanics.

College Credits are earned through an articulation agreement with the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH). Students could earn credits in steering and suspension and hydraulic brake systems. Students have the possibility of earning up to 12 college credits.
